| Notes: | The Banffshire Flag is a community flag proclaiming the unique identity of this historic Scottish county. The flag consists of a stylised sun on horizontal bands of orange (above) and blue (below). Together they evoke Banffshire’s famed coast, rivers and sunsets, and also its agriculture and whisky. Between them is a white horizontal band forming a stylised bridge. This evokes the bridges — from ancient inland crossings to mighty coastal viaducts — that are such a defining feature of the Banffshire landscape. The designer of the Banffshire Flag is Ellie Stewart of Portessie Primary School, who took part in the flag-raising at Castle Hill, Cullen on Saturday 28 October.
