| Notes: | The Moray Flag is a community flag proclaiming the unique identity of this historic Scottish county. The green hoist and golden wheatsheaf evoke Moray’s rich agricultural lands. The wavy blue and green references the coastal seas and sands and also represents the origin of the county’s name. Moray derives from a Gaelic or Pictish term denoting a connection with the sea. Aila Gibson of Dallas Primary School, designer of the Moray Flag, took part at its first hoisting at Elgin Town Hall.
