The William Crampton Library is the Flag Institute’s research and documentation centre – the world’s largest outside the USA.
Situated in Hull’s historic Museum Quarter, the library is professionally curated, catalogued and indexed.
It also maintains an active collection development programme, acquiring new items by exchange, donation, purchase or download.
The William Crampton Library comprises thousands of items – all available to view on site – and includes:
- books on flags and flag-related topics
- vexillological journals from around the world
- newspaper and magazine articles
- flag specifications
- original design work
- private research collections
- badges, ephemera, posters, wallcharts
