The Isle of Purbeck Flag is a community flag proclaiming the unique identity of this distinctive area of Dorset and its people.

The Swanage Town Crier, Andrew Fleming, commissioned the Isle of Purbeck Flag and its linked anthem.

Pupils of Swanage School organised a competition to choose the winning design by popular vote.

The flag features three symbols intimately connected with the area – a curving wave, fishes and an ammonite.

The following communities in Dorset have registered flags: Isle of Purbeck, Poole and Portland.
