HM Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her Platinum Jubilee in 2022, having reigned for longer than any other British monarch.

Flags, of course, will play a big part in the festivities.

As there is no official Platinum Jubilee flag, various styles are available – including many that display the official Platinum Jubilee Emblem (left).

If you wish to fly a Platinum Jubilee flag, no specific limitations or regulations apply.

We suggest the Jubilee celebration weekend (2–5 June) is a good time to hoist it.

A Platinum Jubilee flag should preferably fly on a flagpole on its own.

If you wish to fly it with the Union Flag, the latter takes precedence (preferably hoisted on a separate pole).

If you have only one flagpole, the Union Flag would fly above any Platinum Jubilee flag.

However, we would generally discourage this practice for protocol and practical reasons.
