The proud Glasgow district of Maryhill has launched a competition to design a community flag representing its unique character.
Individuals, schools and community groups can all create proposals for a ‘Flag for Maryhill’.
The winning flag will be free to use and available to all.
A panel including celebrity guest judges Janey Godley and Jane McCarry, alongside representatives from the Flag Institute and the Lyon Court, will assess the submissions and draw up a final shortlist.
A public vote will then decide the winning flag.
The closing date will be Monday 14 September 2020.
