The Cinque Ports have a new flag in the UK Flag Registry.
Last year the Cinque Ports Authority asked the Flag Institute to develop a community flag, allowing the Authority to maintain exclusive use of the traditional banner.
The Communities Vexillologist reverse-engineered the traditional banner by taking and extending the gold ships on blue, and the Chief Vexillologist finalised the new design by adding a distinctive jib.
