The Westmorland Flag is a community flag proclaiming the unique identity of this historic English county.

The flag displays a golden heraldic apple tree (for Appleby) on white and red bars (for Kendal).

The design derives from the shield from the coat of arms of the former Westmorland County Council.

The council used this coat of arms (granted in 1926) until its demise in 1974.
