The Finchfield Flag is a community flag proclaiming the unique identity of this district of Wolverhampton (Staffordshire).

The flag displays a column of three goldfinches, the birds that helped to give the town its name.

They appear at the hoist to indicate their importance.

Yellow represents Finchfield’s original fields, while green its s modern parks and environment centre.

Yellow and green are also the colours of the local schools.

The patterned vertical line that divides the two has a dual significance.

It represents the traditional importance of agriculture to the town and shows the link between past (yellow) and present (green).
