The Somerset Flag is a community flag proclaiming the unique identity of this historic English county.

The flag consists of a red dragon on a gold field, the traditional emblem of Somerset.

It also resembles the flag of Somerset County Council, where the dragon carries the council mace.

The Somerset County Gazette and local law firm Pardoes organised a county-wide competition in May 2013.

The winner was Ed Woods who had campaigned for the registration of this design since 2007.
