Should I fly the flag from Adlestrop Church Tower at half mast on Rememberance Sunday and Armistice Day
No, the Union Flag should be flown at full mast on both days – this is a remembrance not a funeral.
We do not have a local parade at our cenotaph but as a Girl Guide Leader I would like to fly the Union Flag and Guide Flags at the cenotaph service, Can we do this and what would be the appropriate protocols for this? Also, what should we do at the sounding of the last post and reveille? The Royal British Legion will not be attending this ceremony. Many thanks.
There is nothing to prevent you from parading a Union Flag and a Guide flag. The Union Flag should take precedence, so should be on the left side of the parade column if both flags are being paraded side by side, or in front of the Guide flag. When standing next to the memorial the Union Flag should be to the right of the Guide Flag. See our booklet “Flying Flags in the United Kingdom”, which can be downloaded from this website, for more information.
What time should we raise the union flag to full mast on Remembrance Sunday? And what time does it come down please?
The Union Flag should fly at full mast on Remembrance Sunday and Remembrance Day for the whole day – this is a remembrance not a funeral.
Why is this a question? The Union flag is, as all flags, sending a specific message. unless the monarch, a member of the Royal family or a state person (UK or foreign) has died than the Union flag should be flown full mast. unless by Royal command. Many people sacrificed their lives to ensure the flag is flown full and proud over the territories of the UK. The Royal British Legion endorse the British flag Institute, so that should be enough answer for anyone!

As an ex serviceman I can tell you all we do not wait for a command to dip the flag for the fallen, and you certainly do not have to be a monarch, member of the royal family or person of state for the privilege, you just have to have given all at peace at war or when finally crossing the bar.
Should a flag have be flown today armistice day in scotland?
I would suggest the answer is yes.
Armistice and Remembrance Day are about the conflicts in which the whole of the UK (of which Scotland has been and currently still is a member) were engaged.
Hi could someone please give some advice. I do the flag duties at my local church the past person who did the flag for over 60 years told me that the flag should be lowered to half mast after the last post is played on Remembrance Sunday at 1100hrs then put back upto full mast is this correct thank you Colin.
Can the Red Ensign be flown along with other flags on Remembrance Day or is there a specific protocol for those flags to be flown on the day?
I understand that the Union Flag should be flown at full mast all day on both Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday for the reason you state (that this is not a mourning but a remembrance. At our Fire Service HQ at Penrith they had a short gathering at the flagpole and chose to lower the flag to half mast at 11am (and, had they remembered, I was told they would have raised it straight after the minute’s silence). Was this correct? Judging by your previous reply I would assume this would not be correct flag protocol but I have a degree of sympathy with the view of Tobias Houghton (above).

Correction:
That should have read “two minutes silence”
