Each year, in May and November, the Flag Institute holds a general meeting. These meetings are the opportunities for members to meet fellow vexillologists, build up new contacts or re-establish old ones. Members are invited to present talks on vexillogical subjects and show their collections to other members.
The Annual General Meeting of the Flag Institute takes place for part of the morning of the Autumn meeting, at a venue still to be decided. This and other details will be made available on our web site as soon as decisions and arrangements have been confirmed.
In occasional years, the Flag Institute holds the Perrin Lecture. This lecture is followed by an informal reception and is open to the public, as well as to members and their guests. The November 2008 lecture was held in conjunction with the All Party Parliamentary Flag Group at the Palace of Westminster.
