The William Crampton Library
The William Crampton library of the Flag Institute is located in the Museum Quarter, Hull, East Yorkshire, in the north of England. It is available for use by members of the Institute by prior appointment with the librarian. The library collection contains hundreds of books on flags and associated topics, sets of flag magazines and journals from other vexillological societies, posters, wallcharts, and actual flags.

The Flag Institute's Librarian, Ian Sumner, deals with a number of enquiries each year from members of the Institute and affiliated bodies worldwide, professional academics, film, television and theatre producers, as well as those who fly flags such as Government organisations, sporting clubs and all manner of other organisations in society. In the near future we hope to include a list of the library's collection on the website.
